Supporting school leaders

Our staff provide a range of training options from SLT briefings to whole staff workshops. While we have set messages about data protection to convey, we tailor our content to the needs of your staff weaving in relevant real life stories. Together we will ensure your team is data protection compliant and understand their role in keeping your school safe. 

Our training is engaging, interactive and relevant to schools. Using the principles of adult education, our sessions are designed to inform, motivate and encourage your staff to apply what they've learned within your school context. We share the 'why' so staff understand the importance of applying the concepts taught in their professional and personal lives.

Our team are experienced trainers with qualifications in adult education and training, coaching, conflict resolution and NLP. Their rich experience and work histories provide them with the means to keep your staff engaged using story telling to reinforce key points. Question time towards the end of the sessions usually results in lively discussion. We provide an SLT debrief after each session. 

As well as training, we offer a set of resources designed to support your staff to understand their rights and obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018. These include guidance materials for common issues. 

We offer a variety of session options to fit your school's schedule and staff needs. We can offer our sessions online or in-person depending on the needs of your school and your location. 

When you become part of the DPO Services family we provide a free comprehensive briefing for your school's SLT. This is usually in person as we prefer to visit our schools to better understand their context. Other sessions are by arrangement.
